This is exciting! Performing for the public is a way-of-life for David Seebach and it has been for years. But, once in a while, an opportunity comes up that shifts everything a bit. Steve Daly, who is well-known in the magic and entertainment world, has created a unique event in Iowa each spring. It’s called ‘AbraKORNdabra’ and it attracts magicians from all over to gather, share ideas, rekindle friendships and, of course, perform. When your audience is made up of people who largely are ‘in-the-know’ it takes something more than ordinary magic tricks to impress them.
David has appeared at two national conventions of the Society of American Magicians (Chicago & Boston), the Jubilee held in upstate New York and the venerable, annual Magic Get-Together in Michigan that has featured David’s skills many times, beginning back in 1972!
For his friend Steve Daly, David has agreed to present his lecture, ‘So You Want To Be An Illusionist,’ a presentation devoted to the performance of the large grand illusions that David has featured for years. There are plenty of magicians who share their expertise with card tricks and coin tricks, but David’s is the only lecture about illusions that includes demonstrations with the fancy props and an opportunity for some ‘hands-on’ time.
Just like many other fields there is lot about presenting stage illusions that you will not find easily; you have to learn from a seasoned pro. David’s presentation is very informative, full of inside information and quite entertaining as he shares some show biz stories.
David will also offer copies of his book that is a companion to the lecture for sale for $25. It all happens on Saturday, May 16th in Des Moines, IA. All the needed information is abraKORNdabra.com.
